Ecobank launched an internal digital fundraising campaign in support of World Malaria Day. At the heart of the challenge was the Ecobank Foundation’s promise to match all funds raised by Ecobank’s 17,500 employees.
Ecobank Foundation CEO Julie Essiam said, “Our employees donated an incredible US$22,372.9 which we matched to create a grand total of US$44,745.8. This is a fantastic result and we are very proud of our staff’s generosity.”
Opting for a digital solution, Ecobank created a dedicated Mastercard QR code to make donations easy.
The funds raised will be donated to local malaria NGOs established in the Ecobank markets.
