Initiatives marking the conclusion of the three-year campaign “Transforming Africa Through Education”. On 27 August 2025, the Ecobank Foundation officially handed over the keys to the new computer lab at Lycée d’Ablogamé in Lomé.
This initiative is one of the final actions carried out as part of the 2023–2025 “Transforming Africa Through Education” campaign linked to Ecobank Day, which has now come to an end.
A year marked by major digital progress in Togo
Earlier in the year, in March 2025, the Foundation had already supported the development of digital skills among young Togolese as part of Ecobank Day 2024, organized in partnership with Compassion International and the Polytechnic School of the University of Lomé (EPL).
As part of this effort, the Foundation provided:
15 laptops and 2 projectors to EPL,
20 laptops and 10 digital tablets to Compassion International.
These contributions helped strengthen the capacities of two key players in youth education in Togo.
Expanding access to digital learning for students
With this new equipment, students and teachers in the beneficiary institutions can now:
develop their digital skills,
access modern educational resources,
and prepare for the demands of an increasingly digital professional world.
This approach reflects the Foundation’s vision: making digital technology a driver of equal opportunities and a tool for empowering African youth.
Concluding a transformative campaign
Through these donations and many others, the Ecobank Foundation concludes three years of initiatives aimed at transforming education in Africa through digital innovation.
Between 2023 and 2025, the campaign “Transforming Africa Through Education” enabled:
the establishment of more than 60 computer labs across the continent,
the training of nearly 45,000 children and young people in digital and AI skills,
and the promotion of more inclusive education through technology.
