The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian network.
The growing gap between funds needed by humanitarian groups and funds available is a major cause of communities’ vulnerability to disasters. We made use of Ecobank’s innovative technology to fundraise across Africa in an effort to secure resources for the National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Africa.
Our first project was a digital public fundraising campaign in Ghana using a unique QR code that was created and displayed in Ecobank branches, enabling easy and instant donations to be made.
